Courir x Sakina M'sa

Courir stands alongside Sakina M'sa for responsible and inclusive fashion.

Courir, France’s leading sneaker retailer, is proud to announce its support for the fashion show by Sakina M’sa, a prominent figure in sustainable and socially-conscious fashion in France. This partnership is fully aligned with the company’s CSR strategy, reaffirming its commitment to promoting more responsible, inclusive, and engaged fashion.

For Courir, fashion is much more than just clothes or sneakers: it’s a way to unite, to inspire, and to take a stand. With this vision in mind, the brand has already supported innovative projects such as Casa93, an alternative fashion school. The partnership with Sakina M’sa marks a new and meaningful step in this ongoing commitment.

Her new collection, to be unveiled on June 29 at the Carreau du Temple, is a true creative manifesto. It embodies a vision of upcycling, conscious elegance, and humanity, transforming unsold stock and forgotten fabrics into unique pieces.

The impact of this initiative also lies in its social dimension: the pieces are made by employees in reintegration programs, in an approach that is both responsible and deeply human.

Sakina M'sa, a flag bearer for ethical and inclusive fashion

Sakina M’sa is a French fashion designer of Comorian origin, a pioneer of ethical, inclusive, and solidarity-based fashion. Since launching her eponymous brand in 2002, she has made a significant impact on the fashion industry in France by combining creativity, social commitment, and environmental respect.

Sakina M’sa embraces a committed vision of fashion. She sees it as a vehicle for social connection and empowerment. She built her brand on the model of a social integration company, promoting employment for people facing difficulties, including refugees, women in precarious situations, and youth from underprivileged neighborhoods. Upcycling is at the heart of her work. She recovers fabric scraps from major couture houses to create unique pieces that blend aesthetics with environmental respect.

Her commitment has earned her several awards, including the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris, the Kering Foundation Prize for Women’s Dignity and Rights, and the Women for Sustainable Development Award.

Through her creations, workshops, and collaborations, Sakina M’sa inspires a new generation of designers and consumers.

“Our partnership with Sakina M’sa is a natural fit for Courir. For many years, our brand has been committed to more responsible fashion through various concrete initiatives, as well as by supporting artists with diverse and unique backgrounds. With Sakina M’sa, we defend a new mindset for fashion. Through her creations, she demonstrates that fashion can be a lever for social and environmental transformation while offering an ethical and desirable alternative to conventional fashion,” states Pierre Chambaudrie, President of Courir.

Courir, a lifestyle player focused on the fashion of tomorrow

This collaboration perfectly illustrates Courir’s vision: fashion that does not merely follow trends but creates them while integrating strong values. In this spirit, Courir multiplies concrete initiatives to combine style, responsibility, and positive impact.

With the “Recycle Your Ex Sneakers” program, in partnership with the Plymouth factory, the brand commits to the circular economy by giving worn-out pairs a second life. These are recycled to create new pairs featuring soles made from recycled materials. This project has already led to inspiring collaborations, notably with Kappa and, more recently, with Aigle.

At the same time, Courir has partnered with Plastic Odyssey, an association dedicated to fighting plastic pollution in the sea and coastal areas. This partnership reflects the brand’s determination to act concretely for the planet’s protection and to take a proactive approach to the environmental challenges facing the fashion industry.

Today, with designer Sakina M’sa, Courir goes even further by putting people at the heart of its commitment. Together, they advocate for fashion with a positive social impact, valuing craftsmanship and supporting professional reintegration through ethical and solidarity-based production.
